Cascade Vans & Interiors has a readily available stock of a wide range of upholstery supplies and equipment in Calgary. From fabrics and foams to acoustics upholstery and hand tools such as staple guns and cutters, we have everything to make your upholstery project a success. We have more than 1000 kinds of fabrics, including leather, vinyl and Alcantara (synthetic). We believe in quality, which is why we only sell top-rated products that can last longer than most mediocre goods.
We also provide different upholstery equipment, including but not limited to:
Needle-Nose Pliers: These are used for pulling out the ends of broken staples.
Rubber Mallet: These are used instead of a hammer for knocking wood frames apart. A regular hammer will damage your furniture frame, so opt for a small rubber mallet instead.
Straight-Blade Sewing Scissors: Best for cutting fabric, thin foam, batting, and thread.
Upholstery Needle: A must have. It is used to create rolled edges and sew on buttons. It's much longer and heavier gauge than your regular sewing needle and also made of steel.
Stapler or Tack Hammer: These are necessary for adhering materials to the furniture frame. A tack hammer has a very small magnetic head to help keep tacks in place while you hammer them in — either for utilitarian or decorative purposes.
Claw Tool: Better than a hammer claw. They are used for pulling out tacks and staples when removing old or worn fabric.
Webbing Stretcher: Used to stretch and tighten seat webbing. It has spikes on the end of an hourglass-shaped handle that grips and pulls the webbing tight, allowing you to tack or staple the webbing and fabric in place properly.
Staples: Good-quality staples come in a wide variety and sizes, including fine wire and medium wire. You can choose staples depending on the thickness of the material and the hardness of the wood.
Tacks: Tacks help in attaching padding, materials, as well as decorative accents to the furniture.
Buttons: Buttons help in providing a firm feel to the furniture by lightly compressing the padding. They also prevent the fabric from wrinkling or distorting from use.
Automotive Acoustics Upholstery
The use of acoustics upholstery in the automotive industry has increased in recent times. Acoustics textiles are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and nylon fibres. They help in reducing interior noise and vibration, thereby improving your ride experience. Come to Cascade Vans & Interiors for quality and reliable acoustics upholstery.
